Pinterest is a fairly new social site on the net.  It is a site where you can "Pin" stories that have pictures or videos related to them.  You can also just "Pin" pictures if you like.  This is great because people are becoming more and more visual and want something to catch their eye before they read it.  Pinterest provides this type of stimulation.  You see a bunch of "pin boards" with pictures on them and you click the picture you like.  If you click again then you go to that story on it's website.  You can "repin" a story, if you like it, onto your own board to share with your friends.
It is really a good time to be surfing the net and "pin" something that you like so that your friends can see it.  However, right now pinterest is still invitation only, but there are enough people around and enough pinterest followers that you should be able to get a invite.  If you really want one you can comment on this blog asking for one and I'll send you an invite.
The only real problem with Pinterest is that it is hard to get a following.  On Facebook and Twitter if you follow someone they generally follow you back.  On Pinterest I have found that the people there aren't really like that. Although if you "repin" one of their pins of like one of their pins and then follow them they usually return the favor.
If you get enough pins on your particular story Pinterest will put it on the popular page and then you will get tons of repins.  It is sort of like the featured videos on youtube.  Once it makes front page, if it is good enough, it will go viral and then who knows what will happen.
In this blog we will be showing the Top 10 Pinterest for the day.  Then we will show the Top 10 for the week.  At the end of each month we will show the Top 100 Pinterest Pins for the month.  We will include the pins and the links to the stories so that you won't miss out on those.
Thanks and enjoy.
